Hello,

Is there software available to allow you to map out a flight plan on
PC and upload it to a Garmin 430?

I had been using an Anywhere Map PDA based GPS, right up until my
home was robbed with the miscreants taking only my daughters laptop
and my iPaq, but that is another story...
This relatively inexpensive system allowed me to load all the
waypoints and altitudes on my PC and Sync the flight plan to the GPS.

Our flying club has recently upgraded to a fleet (Is 4 aircraft a
fleet?) of PA28s and a PA32 with a Garmin GNS 430/430A GPS, Avidyne
Entegra PFD and Avidyne FlightMax MFD. There does not appear to be
a similar setup for this VERY expensive setup.

Thank you for your time,

I am 99 percent sure that there is not any software to upload anything into the Garmin 430 other than the data officially supplied by Jepp. There isn't any way to get data into the machine, actually. You have two card slots, one for terrain data and one for nav data. There is no USB port, no Wifi, and no Ethernet connection.
