I am wondering if there is a problem with the compatability between a
BOSE Aviation HeadsetX and the Cirrus SR22 airplane. Is it true that
it can be difficult to hear warning alerts through the Active Noise
Reducing feature of the headphones? Anyways, if anyone knows
anything about either the plane or the headphones, please let me know.
Thanks
Patrick

There are very few audio alerts in a Cirrus. Though they are comfortable to wear, Bose headsets are among the least effective at canceling noise. You would certainly have no trouble hearing the stall warning horn, for example, which does not come through the audio panel. The main issue with the Bose is that they may not be quiet enough, since the SR22 is significantly noisier inside than the C172, Bonanza, etc. We use them in our SR20 for the back seat and Telex 50Ds in the front seat (much quieter but also heavier and less comfortable). The SR22 is slightly noisier than the SR20 due to the higher airspeeds.
