Objective
During this lesson, the student will conduct a complete IFR flight
from the base airport to an airport greater than 25 n.m. away, fly a
non-precision localizer approach (substitute GPS if localizer is INOP
or unavailable), go missed, hold, and return to the base airport,
flying a localizer approach to a full stop.

- obtain clearance
- set up avionics and plates for an approach back to BED
- depart BED for ORH
- request a localizer approach (typically LOC 29, but also LOC 11 available)
- go missed and hold
- request vectors back to BED
- fly a LOC approach at BED (29 or 11)

Completion Standards
The student should demonstrate proper recovery techniques from
unusual attitudes, with full and partial panel. The student will
also gain an understanding of VOR orientation and tracking procedures,
including the interception of specific VOR radials.
