Objective
During this lesson, the instructor will evaluate the student's
instrument flying skills to determine if the student is prepared for
the final instrument stage check.

- depart BED for the practice area
- steep turns, unusual attitudes, and partial panel maneuvering
- full panel holding at a specified distance on a radial from the LWM VOR
- partial panel VOR or GPS 23 approach to BED
- GPS or LOC approach at BED
- ILS at BED

Completion Standards
At the conclusion of this flight, the student will display a
complete understanding of IFR cross-country procedures. The student
will demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skill to operate safely
as a pilot-in-command and during cross-country flight, and will
perform all IFR procedures at the proficiency level as outlined in the
current FAA instrument rating Practical Test Standards.
